The beauty of internet marketing is that you can track your results. Place a snippet of javascript code on your website or landing pages and you can track loads of data from what geographical locations your visitors are from, what keywords they used to visit your site and what actions they took. Most people use Google analytics but there are other options available.
A program called Get Clicky is a real time analytics tool. Although Google’s analytics tool is fabulously detailed it’s results are 24 hrs in delay. Get Clicks results are real time. So say if you had a big product launch you can log in to Get Clicky and see how visitors are reacting to your website. You will see the data transforming before your eyes. The user interface is a lot less complicated with get Clicky as well. It seems more user intuitive than many other top end programs. If you want to give it a try you can use it free on one website.
Another handy analytics program is one called Crazy Egg. It displays all your analytics info in a visual pattern. It shows heatmaps which display more redish orange on the segments on your page that got the most action. You’ll be able to see all your visitor mouse clicks. You’ll be able to visually determine how many visitors clicked your contact button, the free report download button or any banners you are running.
This little program takes the coldness out of analysing raw stats and graphs and places everything right where it happened visually using pictures from your website. You’ll quickly be able to determine what segments in your web pages are getting the most attention from your visitors.
The softwares pretty easy to install. Just insert a little piece of code into your page and your set. Hopefully you’ll be able to adjust your website layout and increase your conversions once you get the hang of it.
