Nearly every new seo course or online marketing advice i’ve seen harps on about the benefits of long tail keyword terms. These are phrases that consist of 3 or more words. The thinking goes that the internet is already too packed a place for a new website to compete in.
But at this stage, or even at an earlier stage if they had went to seo consultants of a reputable manner before they designed their website, they should have been told to buy an aged domain. That way they would find an easier time to rank, if the seo has good domain authority and a clean history.
One benefit of going long tail is also to keep your main keywords in it and add on suffixes or prefixes such as “free info”, “cheapest price”, “online promotions”. That way you are still credited with the anchor text credit for your main keywords each time you build a long tail link.
